Systems Administrator II

About the role

The System Administrator is expected to facilitate operational support on behalf of the assigned team. The team maintains large‑scale building management and physical security systems across global locations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor ticket queue and instant‑messaging channels.
• Manage and participate in the upkeep of systems and infrastructure.
• Accurately record ticket metadata, including category, type, outage resolution time and post‑mortems.
• Engage with internal and third‑party teams to resolve troubleshooting tickets.
• Maintain professional contact with vendors and represent the team according to client code of conduct.
• Provide out‑of‑business‑hours support for scheduled upgrades.
• Offer 24/7 on‑call support for critical system outages.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from a four‑year college or university and 2‑5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.
• Judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions.
• Comfortable building and managing various servers.
• Experience with networking management, configurations and changes.
• Experience troubleshooting systems and networks to identify root causes and fixes.
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and adherence to processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
