System Administrator & Automation Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Administrator & Automation Engineer to join a leading networking services firm. Reporting to an Australia‑based COO, you will help eliminate manual effort, design custom integrations and improve overall business efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build automations for repetitive processes using Microsoft Power Platform, HubSpot and custom scripting.
• Integrate business systems via REST APIs, webhooks and connectors to enable seamless cross‑platform workflows.
• Administer and optimise Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
• Implement modern DevOps practices, including source control (GitLab/GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines for cloud applications.
• Manage MSP ticketing queues, resolve escalations and maintain high system uptime.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft systems administration (Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML, Windows Server).
• Hands‑on experience creating solutions with Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI.
• Proficient in scripting/programming languages such as Python, PowerShell or JavaScript.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical workflows into business processes.
