Supply Planning Lead

About the role

The Supply Planning Lead will drive efficient supply planning processes for Syngenta Seeds, ensuring the right seed products are available to meet farmer demand while minimizing waste and cost. This role serves as the central point of expertise for transaction processing and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze supply and demand data to develop accurate supply plans.
• Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in the supply planning process.
• Coordinate daily activities of a small team of non‑professional staff, allocating work and setting priorities.
• Provide subject‑matter guidance and training to team members.
• Develop and propose new procedures or standards, subject to managerial approval.
• Serve as the primary contact for questions regarding operative process performance and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Agriculture or a related field.
• Considerable on‑the‑job experience in supply planning or related processes.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
• Experience supervising or guiding non‑professional staff.
• Strong analytical skills to assess short‑term consequences of decisions.
