Supply Chain Manager – Supply Planning & Inventory Control

About the role

The Manager of Supply Planning and Inventory Control leads the development and execution of supply chain strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels and product availability. This role oversees demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet service level targets while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage end‑to‑end supply planning processes to balance availability with excess and obsolete inventory.
• Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations.
• Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to create accurate supply plans.
• Monitor inventory across all locations and implement strategies to optimize stock levels.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks through proactive planning and supplier engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning tools, systems and processes.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of planners and inventory analysts.
• Generate and present reports on key supply chain metrics such as inventory turns, fill rates and forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely, cost‑effective replenishment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4‑6 years of experience in supply planning, inventory control or related supply chain functions.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a planning or inventory management role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with supply chain planning tools such as SAP, Oracle or Kinaxis.
• Knowledge of APICS/CPIM methodologies.
