Supply Chain Consultant – Category A (Manila)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Supply Chain Consultant (Category A) to provide temporary support to its Manila Supply Chain Unit during the heightened operational demands of the typhoon season. The consultant will help maintain routine logistics, procurement and administrative functions while staff focus on emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive stock record system for office stationery and supplies.
• Provide procurement support for low‑ to medium‑value, non‑complex items, ensuring compliance with IOM procedures.
• Onboard vendors onto the WAVE (Oracle) platform and manage vendor registrations.
• Monitor inventory levels, trigger timely replenishment and prevent stock‑outs.
• Process purchase orders, vendor invoices, and coordinate payment requests with the Finance Unit.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic procurement records and assist in preparing periodic reports.
• Develop a facilities management tracker for service requests and support logistical arrangements for meetings and trainings.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in procurement, logistics, vendor management and familiarity with IOM/UN procurement rules is preferred.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) as required for the consultancy.
• Demonstrated adherence to IOM values and core competencies such as teamwork, results delivery and accountability.
