Subcontract Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Subcontract Manager to lead the subcontract function on construction projects in Manila. The role involves implementing project parts, ensuring contract compliance, and coordinating resources to meet deadlines while supporting the company’s sustainability mission.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret contract clauses to align with company interests.
• Act as intermediary between client and company, resolving contract‑related conflicts.
• Own budget allocation, procurement, interim payment certificate evaluation, change control, and final account agreement for sub‑contracts.
• Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, plan departmental workload, and mentor junior staff.
• Appraise the master subcontractor procurement budget and define work scopes and budgets for subcontract packages.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Team on subcontractor negotiations, award processes, and onboarding.
• Evaluate monthly subcontractor payment certificates, update cash‑flow forecasts, and report variances.
• Provide contractual leadership, interpret provisions, and prepare correspondence for subcontractor requests.

Required profile

• Strong experience in subcontract management and contract administration.
• Proven ability to analyse contracts and manage change control processes.
• Leadership experience managing Quantity Surveyors or similar teams.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with procurement, finance, and project delivery teams.
