Strategy Consultant – Management & M&A Advisory

About the role

Join the Japanese office of KPMG Global Strategy Group as a Strategy Consultant. You will develop management and business strategies, conduct Business Due Diligence for M&A transactions, and support the creation of business plans. The role also focuses on enhancing corporate value for acquired companies during post‑acquisition, pre‑sale, and restructuring phases.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and design management and business strategies for client organisations.
• Provide support during the pre‑deal and in‑deal phases of M&A transactions, including Business Due Diligence.
• Develop value‑creation strategies and deliver ongoing implementation support to improve sales, reduce costs, and optimise cash flow.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of practical experience in business strategy, M&A strategy planning, transaction advice, corporate transformation, restructuring, or post‑merger integration.
• Experience at a consulting or advisory firm is preferred; strategic consulting experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (MBA is a plus).
• English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 800 or higher; overseas study or work experience is advantageous.
• Strong logical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities.
