Specialist, Source to Pay (Settlements)

About the role

The Specialist, Source to Pay (Settlements) ensures accurate and timely settlement of financial transactions for Aurecon. You will work with a variety of instruments, collaborate with internal and external partners, and help mitigate settlement risk.

Key responsibilities

• Trade Settlement: Process, monitor and reconcile equities, fixed income and derivatives to ensure accurate, on‑time settlement.
• Communication: Liaise with internal teams and external financial institutions to resolve trade discrepancies.
• Risk Management: Identify potential settlement risks and proactively address them.
• Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of trade settlements, resolving any mismatches promptly.
• Compliance: Ensure all settlement activities comply with relevant financial regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of settlement activities and generate regular reports for management.
• Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve failed settlements or discrepancies in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase settlement efficiency.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of payments processing experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, SAP or Oracle.
• Strong attention to detail and effective problem‑solving abilities.
