Solutions Architect

About the role

The Solutions Architect will design, develop and implement technical solutions that align with business objectives. This role bridges business requirements and technical capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect complex software systems and create detailed technical designs, including data models and system diagrams.
• Oversee solution development from inception to release, ensuring adherence to SDLC, IT policies, industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms and frameworks for new products, features or systems.
• Provide guidance and review technical designs for development teams, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Plan and manage software development projects, collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features and drive projects to deployment.

Required profile

• Graduate of a 4‑year IT‑related degree.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience, preferably in financial or banking environments.
• Proven experience in Agile software development and leading small engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with stakeholder management experience.

Required skills

• Software architecture design and system integration.
• Distributed systems and micro‑services.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Building application pipelines (CI/CD).
• AWS Solutions Architect (or equivalent) and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of core banking platforms such as ThoughtMachine or Oradian (a plus).
