Software Engineer/Developer – iOS (Hybrid, Retail)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated iOS Software Engineer to join our retail technology team. The role is hybrid, with a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (6 am‑3 pm PHT), and focuses on building and maintaining high‑performing mobile and web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and release native iOS and hybrid enterprise mobile applications.
• Support the full application lifecycle, including API development, performance optimisation, and debugging.
• Gather requirements, propose technical solutions, and collaborate with product and UX teams.
• Apply Agile methodologies, contribute to project schedules, and pivot between projects as needed.
• Research and recommend new mobile technologies, protocols, and enhancements.
• Write unit and UI tests, ensure security best practices, and continuously improve app functionality and design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• 2‑4 years of professional software‑development experience, preferably in mobile.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience working in large, multi‑stakeholder teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, Core iOS SDKs and frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs; GraphQL is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of security concepts and practices.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps tools: Atlassian suite, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence.
• Exposure to cloud services and additional programming languages.
• Familiarity with native Android development frameworks (API, testing, deployment) is beneficial.
• Unit and UI testing proficiency.
