Software Engineer – Mobile Banking (iOS)

About the role

Join Avaloq’s international team responsible for the stability, reliability and continuous improvement of its Web & Mobile Banking platform. As a Software Engineer you will work at the intersection of development and operations, driving automation, enhancing system resilience and supporting mission‑critical production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile banking applications for iOS (and optionally Android).
• Deliver high‑quality, scalable, reusable code and implement new features.
• Ensure stable and efficient operation of the Mobile Banking platform.
• Manage tickets end‑to‑end, including triage, impact analysis, troubleshooting and resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex issues and improve services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in mobile application development (iOS and/or Android).
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform, Swift or Objective‑C.
• Experience in Software Engineering, DevOps or Application Support roles.
• Solid understanding of production environments, monitoring and incident management.
• Good knowledge of the mobile development lifecycle and integration of REST APIs, SDKs and third‑party libraries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools and DevOps practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Jenkins, Gradle, Artifactory, Python, Groovy, Linux and Bash.
• Proficiency with modern platforms/frameworks such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible and ElasticSearch.
• Experience with iOS/Android Store lifecycle management and cloud/container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, client‑oriented environment.
