Software Engineer / iOS Developer (Hybrid, Retail)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our retail technology team. The role focuses on building and maintaining native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and release mobile and web applications aligned with business goals.
• Support the full application lifecycle, including API development and performance optimisation.
• Gather requirements, propose solutions and collaborate with product and design teams.
• Adapt existing web applications for mobile use and ensure seamless UX across phones and tablets.
• Apply Agile methodologies, contribute to project schedules and continuously improve app functionality.
• Research new mobile technologies, recommend enhancements and write unit/UI tests.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 2‑4 years of professional software‑development experience.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, scalability and security.
• Experience working in large, multi‑stakeholder teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Kotlin Coroutines.
• Jetpack Compose and core Android SDKs/libraries.
• RESTful API integration (GraphQL a plus).
• Atlassian suite: Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence.
• DevOps tools and exposure to cloud services.
• Solid knowledge of security concepts and best practices.
