Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading global financial services firm. The position is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining core financial platforms that handle real‑time transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for high‑volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement robust security and compliance measures to protect sensitive financial data.
• Write clean, maintainable code and ensure reliability through unit and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and maintain system availability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with backend development in Java, Python, or Go.
• Background in financial transaction systems, payment processing, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases for financial data storage.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration.
