Software Engineer – Automation & Audit Tools

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation tools that support software audit data collection, analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure licensing compliance and deliver technical guidance throughout audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain automation solutions for audit data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
• Provide technical expertise during customer audits, validating software usage and licensing compliance.
• Analyze deployment environments, licensing models, and usage data to meet audit objectives.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Sales teams to ensure audit accuracy and alignment with customer needs.
• Document solutions, present audit findings, and support stakeholders through demos and technical guidance.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in software licensing, audits, enterprise IT, or related technical roles.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, documentation, and customer‑facing abilities.

Required skills

• Scripting/programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• REST APIs and log analysis
• Advanced Excel and Power Query for data analysis, ETL, and modeling
• PowerBI and/or Fabric for visualization
• Knowledge of software licensing, deployment architectures, discovery tools, containers, virtualization, and CI/CD practices
