Software Engineer (AI focus)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Information Systems team. You will work on full‑stack features, integrate external services, and build AI‑powered functionality, taking ownership from design to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑end (React) and back‑end (PHP/Laravel or similar) components with minimal supervision.
• Design internal tools, dashboards, and automation workflows.
• Implement and manage APIs and third‑party integrations such as billing, ticketing, messaging, and identity verification.
• Write clean, testable, well‑documented code and actively participate in code reviews.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) in daily work and share best practices.
• Build AI‑driven features that call LLM APIs for text processing, summarisation, or automation.
• Debug and troubleshoot moderately complex issues across the stack, using AI tools when appropriate.
• Provide guidance and code‑review feedback to junior engineers.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Ability to work independently on well‑scoped tasks and collaborate with product, QA, and other engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new AI tools.

Required skills

• Back‑end development with PHP (Laravel) or JavaScript/Node.js.
• Front‑end development with React.
• Design and consumption of REST APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Practical use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) for coding, debugging, or documentation.
• Understanding of LLM/AI APIs (prompts, tokens, basic tool use) and experience integrating them.
• Git version control, branching strategies, and code‑review processes.
