Software Engineer 2 – Production Support & AI Development

About the role

The Software Engineer 2 will design, develop, and maintain customer‑facing applications that support claims processing and service delivery. You will work on both new feature development and production support, leveraging AI‑assisted tools to improve productivity while ensuring high‑quality code.

Key responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code for web and backend services using JavaScript/TypeScript and a backend language (Node.js, Python, or Java).
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and working software components.
• Build and consume REST APIs, integrating with cloud, database (SQL/Oracle), and messaging services.
• Apply CI/CD practices, write unit tests, and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined SLAs, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Utilize AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, or AWS Bedrock under senior guidance.
• Collaborate with product, QA, operations, and engineering teams in agile ceremonies and sprint delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
