Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

Avvoka is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, performance, and scalability of its legal‑drafting platform. You will work across cloud and on‑prem environments, building automation, pipelines, and tooling that enable fast, stable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision, and maintain infrastructure on Linux, KVM, Azure and occasional AWS using infrastructure‑as‑code and image‑building tools.
• Build and own GitLab CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, repeatable, and safe deployments.
• Write automation scripts in Bash and a second programming language to eliminate manual toil.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, then design out root causes.
• Manage virtualization and provisioning with KVM and Packer for reproducible environments.
• Establish reliability practices, runbooks, and standards for the Manila engineering team.
• Partner with developers to embed reliability and observability into the development process.
• Provide on‑call coverage outside European business hours.

Required profile

• Strong Ubuntu/Linux system administration experience.
• Solid grounding in networking and virtualization concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with KVM, Packer, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑growing, high‑trust environment.
