Shipping and Customs Specialist

About the role

As a Shipping and Customs Specialist you will ensure that imported and exported goods reach our customers quickly and cost‑effectively while maintaining full compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will work closely with government agencies, port authorities and logistics partners to optimise import and export processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end import and export operations to guarantee product availability.
• Ensure accurate documentation, tariff classification and timely customs clearance.
• Monitor and control costs, leveraging Free Trade Agreements and negotiating with carriers and port authorities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve compliance issues and deviations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of customs regulations and internal SOPs.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of international shipping, customs procedures and trade regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with authorities and service providers.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to prioritise time‑sensitive shipments.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous personal development and process improvement.
