Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to lead the preparation, filing, and compliance of all tax obligations. The role involves close collaboration with internal finance teams, external auditors, and government agencies to ensure accurate tax reporting and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file all required tax returns accurately and on time.
• Reconcile tax accounts (GL vs MAP/Relief) and make necessary adjustments.
• Prepare EZMPR and PEZA annual reports and manage related documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies during tax examinations and assessments.
• Support tax assessments by providing documentation, performing reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies.
• Analyze financial statements to identify potential tax issues.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing, including journal entries.
• Manage asset records in line with PEZA and financial reporting requirements.
• Attend tax audit meetings with BIR offices and assist internal/external audits.
• Update transfer pricing documentation and monitor tax calendar deadlines.
• Monitor business permit renewal and stay informed on changes to Philippine tax laws.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in BPO or shared services.
• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work on a mid‑shift schedule in a hybrid work arrangement.
