Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

The Senior Tax Accountant will lead the company’s compliance framework for PEZA and other investment incentives. You will ensure timely filing of regulatory requirements, maintain incentive eligibility, and act as the primary liaison with government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all PEZA and investment incentives compliance activities.
• Monitor regulatory updates affecting PEZA, BOI, and related environments.
• Prepare and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports.
• Serve as the main point of contact with PEZA, BOI, BIR, and other agencies, handling inspections and compliance requests.
• Manage application, renewal, amendment, and approval processes for incentives such as Certificates of Incentives, VAT Zero‑Rating Certifications, and Income Tax Holiday validations.
• Track incentive utilization and ensure adherence to grant conditions.
• Identify compliance risks, implement corrective actions, and safeguard eligibility.
• Supervise and coach Compliance Associates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business or a related field.
• Big 4 experience (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG) highly preferred.
• Strong background in regulatory compliance, tax incentives, PEZA, BOI, or government reporting.
• Experience in accounting, tax, audit, or compliance functions.
• CPA qualification is not required but highly preferred.
