Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

TOA Global is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to lead technical tax work for Australian clients. This remote, full‑time position supports a diverse portfolio ranging from SMEs to large, complex groups.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns and activity statements for companies, partnerships, trusts and complex individual businesses.
• Ensure all lodgments comply with Australian tax legislation and meet strict accuracy standards.
• Develop detailed work papers, perform inter‑entity reconciliations and finalize financial statements for large client groups.
• Provide strategic tax advisory on GST, FBT, payroll tax, Single Touch Payroll and identify opportunities for tax savings.
• Assist clients with budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and management reporting to drive business performance.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and manage stakeholder relationships to meet productivity targets.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of accounting and taxation experience in Australia, including primary production tax issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; fully qualified CA/CPA or actively pursuing certification.
• Strong commercial acumen, meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual team environment and meet tight deadlines.
