Senior Systems Operations Consultant

About the role

FIS is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Consultant to ensure the continuous availability and optimal performance of its production environments. The role blends hands‑on monitoring, incident resolution, and collaboration with infrastructure and application teams in a hybrid work setting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support production systems to maintain uptime and performance.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve processing errors and incidents within defined SLAs.
• Execute operational procedures such as job scheduling, batch processing, and system health checks.
• Partner with technical teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Apply ITIL Service Management practices, manage incidents, escalations, and service requests.
• Document processes, ensure alignment with standards, and maintain up‑to‑date operating guidelines.
• Prepare KPIs, generate weekly and monthly performance reports, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux and Windows command environments (advantageous).
• Familiarity with financial services industry systems, mainframe or open‑system operating environments.
• Understanding of ITSM principles and hands‑on use of ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
