Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our enterprise security and technology platforms. The position will focus on Genetec Security Center while also supporting broader infrastructure, cybersecurity, and integration initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and optimize Genetec Security Center, including access control, video surveillance, and security operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system upgrades, patching, backup validation, and capacity planning.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, application, database, network, and integration incidents, conducting root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Support system implementations, migrations, technology refreshes, and onboarding of new sites, devices, and users.
• Prepare technical documentation, testing plans, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives such as vulnerability management, access controls, disaster recovery, and system hardening.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in planning, implementing, administering, and maintaining enterprise ICT systems.
• At least five years of hands‑on experience with Genetec Security Center administration (highly desirable).
• Proven experience supporting physical security systems, emergency communications, or other operational technology solutions.
• Experience managing system upgrades, migrations, proof‑of‑concepts, and technology evaluations.
