Senior Software Engineer (Finacle)

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer will join the technology delivery team at UnionBank Plaza, reporting to the Tech Delivery Lead. The role focuses on hands‑on development of mobile and web applications, while also contributing to solution architecture, design decisions, and effort estimation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end‑to‑end applications for customers, including mobile and web solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product teams to deliver user stories on time and within budget.
• Participate in architecture and system design for mobile applications.
• Ensure security, data protection, and code integrity throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide documentation, API and backend integration, and automated testing for robust, reliable code.
• Analyze bugs, perform root‑cause analysis, and propose effective work‑arounds.
• Stay current with industry standards, benchmarks, and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in iOS, Android, or hybrid mobile development (Xamarin, Flutter, React Native).
• At least 3 years of front‑end development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Minimum 3 years of back‑end development using languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Java.NET, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS and ReactJS.
• Familiarity with smart‑contract development on Ethereum, Hyperledger or Corda.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
