Senior Software Engineer (CMS)

About the role

We are looking for a backend‑focused Senior Software Engineer with strong experience designing, implementing, and operating production‑grade systems. The role requires deep expertise in Java and the Spring Boot framework, as well as familiarity with AWS cloud services and modern micro‑service architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure Java/Spring Boot services that support product and platform capabilities.
• Lead medium‑to‑large engineering projects from requirements gathering through deployment and production support.
• Build cloud‑ready solutions using AWS services and follow established engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, SRE, quality engineers, and other engineering teams to resolve technical dependencies.
• Improve existing systems through refactoring, automation, observability, and operational enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to design maintainable software solutions and produce reusable, testable code.
• Experience leading technical designs to production‑ready implementations.
• Proactive identification of technical risks, trade‑offs, and dependencies.
• Effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams and knowledge sharing through code reviews.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5‑7+ years of software development experience, primarily with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS services for hosting, storage, messaging, monitoring, and deployment.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production troubleshooting.
