Senior Project Estimator – Concrete & Flooring Coatings

About the role

MicroSourcing is looking for a Senior Project Estimator specialized in concrete and flooring coatings. You will be the backbone of project planning, delivering accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential flooring projects while collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tracking and pipeline management using BuildingConnected, monitoring invitations to bid and submitting proposals.
• Perform digital take‑offs with Measure Square, calculating square and linear footage for epoxy systems, polished concrete, and cove bases.
• Evaluate complete project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, permits, and overhead.
• Maintain a database of material costs, coverage rates, and system components.
• Manage pre‑construction administration such as RFIs, client submittals, certificates of insurance, and scheduling.
• Brief project managers and field teams during handovers to ensure alignment on scope, budget, materials, and timelines.
• Conduct post‑project cost variance analysis to improve estimating accuracy.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in commercial flooring.
• At least 3 years as a construction estimator focusing on epoxy flooring, resinous coatings, polished concrete, and cove base detailing.
• Hands‑on experience with BuildingConnected and Measure Square.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of pre‑construction administration (RFIs, submittals, COIs).
• Advanced ability to read architectural drawings, finish schedules, and structural specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
