Senior Process Technician – Shift Operator (L3)

About the role

Dow is seeking a Senior Process Technician (L3) to join the shift team at its plant in Las Pinas City, Metro Manila. The role involves operating and monitoring reactor and process equipment, ensuring safe and optimal plant performance during assigned shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Start‑up, run and shut‑down plant systems using the plant’s computer operating system.
• Monitor process conditions, key performance metrics, and control systems, making decisions to maintain target rates and product quality.
• Perform scheduled operational tasks and respond to unplanned events, escalating when necessary.
• Conduct effective shift hand‑overs and maintain clear communication with incoming teams.
• Maintain qualifications, complete training goals, and use discretionary time to address skill gaps.
• Mentor and train less‑experienced operators on process operation and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating process or reactor equipment in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of plant safety, reliability and optimal performance principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with shift team members and support functions.
• Willingness to act as an informal resource for junior staff.

Required skills

• Operation of plant computer control systems.

• Basic analytical and scientific troubleshooting methods.
