Senior Linux Administrator

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to manage and support its enterprise Linux environments. The role focuses on maintaining system performance, security, and reliability across on‑premise, virtual, and cloud infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and upgrade Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Troubleshoot issues, apply patches, and optimize performance.
• Manage users, permissions, storage, backups, and core services such as DNS, LDAP, and web servers.
• Support physical, virtual, and AWS‑based environments, including HPC clusters.
• Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and audit support.
• Monitor systems, resolve incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and maintain documentation.
• Develop automation scripts and contribute to DevOps and configuration‑management initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, network, security, and cloud teams.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of Linux administration experience (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V), storage (NetApp, NFS), and backup tools (e.g., Rubrik).
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux CLI.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, SSH).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
