Senior HR Associate – HR Administration

About the role

The Senior HR Associate will work within the Human Resources Administration Unit of the Global Shared Services Centre, delivering specialised HR administration services for IOM professional staff worldwide. Reporting to the HR Officer and the National HR Officer, the role focuses on contract administration, onboarding, benefits and off‑boarding processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process, review and analyse personnel actions related to contracts, entitlements and benefits.
• Provide guidance and support on complex HR cases across onboarding, cross‑boarding, contract administration, time management and off‑boarding.
• Operate within one or more of the three International Operations Desks (Onboarding & Cross‑Boarding; Contract Administration, Time Management & Off‑boarding; Benefits & Entitlements).
• Ensure compliance with IOM/UN HR procedures and maintain accurate records in the ERP system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with seven years of experience.
• Proven experience in human resources management and personnel administration.
• Experience using an ERP system; experience in an international, multi‑cultural organization is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) or similar HR information systems.
• Understanding of IOM/UN HR procedures and rules is an asset.
