Senior Electrical Engineer (MEP Consulting) – Permanent Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for commercial, institutional, industrial and mixed‑use projects. The role is fully remote and involves technical leadership, mentorship, and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and low‑voltage systems.
• Prepare and review construction documents such as power and lighting plans, single‑line and riser diagrams, panel and fixture schedules.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for smaller projects and designated portions of larger projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and client requirements.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and provide quality‑control oversight.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Maintain client relationships and support business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Minimum 8 years of electrical design experience in an MEP consulting environment.
• Extensive experience designing building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm and low‑voltage.
