Senior DevOps Engineer - Data & Analytics Platforms

About the role

Manulife is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Information Systems - Platform-as-a-Service team at MBPS. You will build, handle and support Data and Analytics platforms, working on cloud automation, provisioning and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and build the cloud automation workflow and support the cloud blueprint.
• Automate (with Python or other languages) platform maintenance, updates, security enhancements and administrative tasks.
• Deliver business cloud solutions by implementing cloud resources such as provisioning and hardening.
• Support hands-on cloud platform provisioning, configuration management coding, deployment and the architecture team's design of data and analytics landscapes.
• Improve monitoring and logging, enable end-to-end monitoring and dashboard reporting, and standardize runbooks by automating standard BAU tasks.
• Create and maintain operational and user documentation, and write scripts for 7x24 support and monitoring teams.
• Test new cloud platforms, runbooks and packaging as cloud services for business users, and plan and implement controls for infrastructure and platform changes.
• Assist in planning, implementing and reviewing capacity planning for resources and advise management when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience leading large implementations of related technologies.
• Amenable to working at Ayala Technohub (Quezon City) or Mactan Newtown (Lapu-Lapu, Cebu), on a hybrid setup (3 days a week onsite) and on a rotating shift schedule.

Required skills

• Hands-on Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS, and IT service management (incident, change, request).
• DevOps toolset and IaC programming such as Terraform, Python and PowerShell.
• CI/CD pipelines and repository management such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, SSH).

Preferred: ITIL and Azure certifications, Agile experience, Microsoft certifications, and mentoring experience.
