Senior Data Engineer I

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and transform marketing and web traffic data. You will work closely with analysts and stakeholders to deliver reliable, standardized datasets across our AWS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines for third‑party sources such as Google Analytics, Sprinklr, paid media, and social platforms.
• Integrate web traffic, campaign, and engagement data into the AWS data lake.
• Automate data extraction via APIs, webhooks, and batch processes.
• Ensure data quality through validation checks, deduplication, and normalization.
• Document data lineage, transformations, and compliance considerations.
• Collaborate with reporting and data analyst teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and perform unit and integration testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Computer Science preferred).
• 5‑7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
• Proven stakeholder management and project delivery in an Agile environment.
• Strong analytical, organized, and proactive work style.
• Willingness to work graveyard shifts when needed.

Required skills

• SQL, Python, Shell/PowerShell scripting.
• Relational databases: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
• AWS cloud services.
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and data lake concepts.
• API integration, webhooks, batch processing.
• Agile methodology.
• Experience with web analytics (GA4) and marketing attribution frameworks.
