Senior Data Analyst

About the role

Manulife’s Asia Data Office is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead and enhance Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives across the region. You will work closely with business partners to deliver high‑impact data solutions that support our digital customer leadership strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of global, regional and local BI programs, coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Partner with stakeholders, product owners and subject‑matter experts to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Develop project plans, communication and training strategies, and manage project registers (risk, issues, actions, decisions).
• Direct day‑to‑day project activities, ensuring timely achievement of objectives.
• Guide the team in building ETL pipelines and data applications on a cloud‑based Enterprise Data Lake platform.
• Oversee data gathering, cleansing, transformation and integration to produce accurate, reliable datasets.
• Create charts, graphs and interactive dashboards that convey insights through compelling visual narratives.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discovery sessions and solution design discussions.
• Handle problem resolution, escalating issues and risks as needed.
• Contribute to standards, best practices and support testing, UAT and production readiness activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in BI analysis, data analysis, BI engineering or data engineering.
• Strong expertise in data manipulation, analysis, warehousing, mining, extraction, visualization and ETL processes.
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and collaborate with culturally diverse teams.
