Senior Cloud Platform Technical Analyst

About the role

Manulife is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Technical Analyst in Quezon City to act as a key technical leader for its Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platform and related Azure PaaS ecosystem. The role drives scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure, partnering with development, network engineering and product teams, and leads platform automation, monitoring, troubleshooting and infrastructure modernization while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and design the end-to-end delivery of the mission-critical Azure Kubernetes ecosystem and its ancillary components.
• Develop build, deployment, automation and monitoring processes, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Set up and maintain Azure PaaS configurations (AKS, APIM, ASE Event Hub, Logic Apps).
• Create and maintain AKS components such as clusters, nodes and pods, and manage platform security and access.
• Help define infrastructure management strategy (disk space, load balancers, traffic managers).
• Design operations support processes for cloud infrastructure and Azure PaaS, and implement tools that give stakeholders visibility into quality metrics.
• Mentor junior team members and guide cross-functional teams in improving Kubernetes and cloud adoption.
• Troubleshoot and triage issues in Kubernetes environments, with a focus on root cause analysis.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of experience in infrastructure or platform support roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Good communication skills and a desire to be a team leader.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities, with a collaborative, customer-centric approach.

Required skills

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AKS, Docker or Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with CLI tools and AKS commands.
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Experience with APIs and understanding of software architecture.
• Preferred: Azure PaaS services (APIM, ASE, Event Hub), Terraform, cloud monitoring tools, Docker and containers, and production Kubernetes experience (clusters, namespaces, service principals).

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm PHT, hybrid with three days per week on site in Quezon City.
