Senior AWS DevOps Engineer (Remote, Night Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure. The role is fully remote, operates on a night‑shift schedule, and works closely with US‑based leadership and globally distributed engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate highly available and scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, ALB/NLB, VPC, autoscaling groups).
• Manage capacity planning, cost‑effective scaling, and performance tuning.
• Maintain cloud security posture, including IAM, network security, intrusion detection, patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch and third‑party observability tools.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements.
• Build infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred) and support CI/CD pipelines for safe deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to provide architectural guidance and operational best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Proven track record operating production AWS environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working in night‑shift or distributed team environments.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, RDS, ELB, Autoscaling, VPC, IAM.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (or CloudFormation).
• Linux system administration.
• Scripting: Bash, Python (or similar).
• Monitoring & logging: CloudWatch, observability tools.
• Security: intrusion detection, patch management, least‑privilege access.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
