Senior AU Tax Accountant – Remote (WFH)

About the role

Henedroit Inc. is looking for a Senior Australian Tax Accountant to join its remote team. The role focuses on managing complex tax compliance for corporate and individual clients, providing strategic advice, and ensuring adherence to Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns in line with ATO guidelines.
• File Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST, and other tax obligations on time.
• Conduct tax research and advise on planning and minimisation strategies.
• Assist with audits, respond to tax queries, and liaise with the ATO.
• Analyse financial data to ensure correct tax treatment of transactions.
• Provide guidance on payroll tax, fringe benefits tax (FBT) and superannuation.
• Mentor junior tax accountants and share technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA, CA or relevant tax certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Australian taxation.
• Strong understanding of corporate tax, income tax and indirect taxes (GST, PAYG, FBT).
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
