Senior Associate, Legal

About the role

The Senior Associate, Legal will oversee a broad range of corporate legal matters, including contract review, negotiation, dispute resolution, and document management. The role is accountable for meeting timelines, budgets, and project objectives while providing strategic legal advice to support Vena Energy’s operations in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Support business teams in reviewing and negotiating EPC, O&M, joint‑venture and debt financing contracts.
• Analyze complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and financial instruments, delivering clear legal advice.
• Develop, maintain, and update standardized legal templates and documentation.
• Provide strategic legal counsel on day‑to‑day corporate matters and key operational issues.
• Assist in handling claims, disputes, investigations and conduct legal research to mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with renewable‑energy regulations, anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption laws.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• At least five (5) years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or as in‑house corporate counsel.
• Proven experience with complex commercial contracts, especially EPC, financing and power‑supply agreements.
• Experience in the renewable‑energy or broader energy sector is a strong advantage.
