Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Mandaluyong City. The role involves overseeing financial transaction processing, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting junior staff in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate financial transactions in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Guide junior team members in resolving transactional issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, chasing adjustments where necessary.
• Conduct analytical reviews of key accounts and ensure proper tax preparation and filing.
• Compile and review monthly management reports for accuracy and timely submission.
• Respond to auditor requests, providing required documentation promptly.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to guarantee precise posting of entries.
• Identify escalations, act as main point of contact in the lead’s absence, and mentor team members.
• Evaluate current accounting processes and propose efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accountancy, Management Accounting, or Banking; professional certification (CPA, MBA) is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet competing deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a BPO or shared services environment is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP or S/4 HANA.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑management skills in a multicultural setting.
• Solid finance and accounting expertise across AR, AP, cash management, and reconciliation.
• Leadership potential and ability to perform under pressure.
