Security Engineer – Product Security (Night Shift)

About the role

SolarWinds is seeking a Security Engineer to join its Product Security Team in Manila on a night‑shift schedule. You will be responsible for embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle and protecting our products from emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Advise engineering teams on secure coding standards and integrate static and dynamic analysis tools into CI pipelines.
• Conduct security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing of applications and services.
• Investigate and respond to product‑related security incidents, creating and maintaining incident response playbooks.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, maintaining audit documentation.
• Provide security training and awareness sessions for developers and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in product or application security, with a solid understanding of the SDLC.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Required skills

• Secure coding principles and OWASP Top 10 knowledge.
• Experience with SAST and DAST tools.
• Proficiency using vulnerability scanners.
• Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001 compliance requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with SolarWinds software administration (preferred).
