Security Engineer

About the role

Azeus is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen both our Blue Team and Red Team capabilities. You will work closely with engineering and DevOps to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and help protect our global client base.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps to implement security best practices and automate vulnerability detection.
• Review risks, manage patches, and facilitate threat modelling during development.
• Support security awareness training and implement controls for certifications such as ISO 27001 and SOC Type 2.
• Perform penetration testing on web and mobile applications (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS).
• Own the vulnerability management lifecycle from identification through remediation and reporting.
• Monitor operational security risks, investigate incidents, and assist pre‑sales and support teams with security enquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, SANS Critical Security Controls, and security standards.
• Experience with application security tools (BurpSuite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, SonarQube; Ghidra/IDA a plus).
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, C/C++ and scripting with Bash or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS) and SIEM technologies.
• Analytical mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
