Security Coordinator

About the role

Acciona is seeking a Security Coordinator to design, implement and oversee a comprehensive physical security programme for its construction projects in Manila. The role ensures protection of personnel, critical assets and uninterrupted project continuity throughout construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct continuous security risk assessments and develop a security plan aligned with project objectives.
• Design and execute Emergency Response Plans and Crisis Management protocols for incidents such as strikes, riots, natural disasters or terror threats.
• Oversee the deployment, performance metrics and daily operations of the subcontracted guard force.
• Supervise installation and maintenance of physical security systems, including perimeter intrusion detection (PIDS), long‑range CCTV and access control for workers, materials and vehicles.
• Lead internal investigations of breaches, thefts or security incidents and produce corrective reports.
• Serve as primary liaison with local law‑enforcement, military and emergency services, and coordinate with community relations and HSE departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminology, engineering, business administration or prior service as an officer in the AFP or PNP.
• Proven experience leading security operations in high‑stakes environments.
• Expertise in electronic security systems integration and physical perimeter defence.
• Strong leadership, conflict‑resolution and negotiation abilities under pressure.
