SAP CPI & API Management Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP CPI & API Management Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will build scalable integration services and API solutions that connect SAP and third‑party applications while ensuring security, reliability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement integration flows using SAP Cloud Integration (CPI).
• Build resilient integration solutions with error handling, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms.
• Develop and manage APIs, including proxies, products, and policies, using SAP API Management.
• Create custom logic and data transformations with Groovy and JavaScript.
• Implement event‑driven integration solutions using SAP Event Mesh.
• Apply API‑first design principles and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver high‑quality, cloud‑based integration solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration processes and APIs for performance and reliability.
• Document integration designs, configurations, and technical solutions following established standards.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in SAP integration development.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) and SAP API Management.
• Proficiency in Groovy scripting and JavaScript for complex logic.
• Experience with event‑driven architecture and SAP Event Mesh.
• Knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles and extensibility best practices.
• Familiarity with integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, SFTP, JSON, XML, and XSLT.
• Strong understanding of API and integration security (OAuth 2.0, SAML, SSL/TLS, API Keys, JWT, certificates).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in Agile development environments is a plus.
