Sales Representative - Energy, Gas & NBN

About the role

The Sales Representative will engage opted‑in Australian household and business leads, identify their needs and help them select and sign up for suitable electricity, gas and NBN services. This high‑volume, consultative role requires proven experience in the Australian energy sector, strong objection handling and disciplined compliance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Contact opted‑in Australian household and business customers through outbound calls and structured follow‑up activity.
• Build rapport quickly, conduct needs discovery and present electricity, gas and NBN plans using approved scripts and tools.
• Recommend suitable options, manage objections and use consultative closing techniques to secure sales.
• Guide customers through the application or assisted online sign‑up process and ensure all verification steps are completed.
• Maintain disciplined follow‑up on callbacks, incomplete applications and open opportunities.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of sales experience in a contact‑centre or telesales environment.
• Recent hands‑on experience selling Australian electricity and/or gas products.
• Proven ability to achieve targets in a high‑volume setting.
• Strong verbal English communication suitable for Australian customers.
• High attention to detail in script adherence, verification and CRM documentation.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems.
• Familiarity with dialler or contact‑centre technology.
