Sales and Business Development Executive

About the role

The Sales and Business Development Executive will generate new accounts, convert sales leads into actual business, and work closely with Citadel's operations and finance teams to ensure compliance with processing rules and financial protection. The role focuses on building a strong network of local and international partners, such as shipping lines and NVOCCs, to expand Citadel's logistics portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new accounts and turn sales leads into confirmed sales.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to guarantee compliance with processing rules and protect both customers and the company financially.
• Build and maintain a pool of local and international partners, including shipping lines and NVOCCs.
• Plan, work out, and execute sales bookings according to company policy with management support.
• Maintain existing client relationships through regular visits, calls, and continuous communication.
• Develop loyalty and optimise the existing customer portfolio.
• Sell a full range of logistics solutions (Ocean Freight, Forwarding, Hub and Clearance) aligned with Citadel's capabilities and client needs.
• Recommend appropriate transport offers and propose alternative solutions when required.
• Follow all standard operating procedures for offers and quotations, obtaining management approval before client submission.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably within logistics or transport.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, finance, and management teams.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and sales processes simultaneously.
