Sales and Business Development Executive

About the role

The Sales and Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and converting leads into confirmed sales. Working closely with Citadel's operations and finance teams, the role ensures compliance with processing rules while protecting both customers and the company financially.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new accounts and turn sales leads into actual sales.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure compliance and financial protection.
• Build and maintain a strong network of local and international partners, including shipping lines and NVOCCs.
• Plan, execute, and manage sales bookings in line with company policy and management support.
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships through regular visits, calls, and communication.
• Promote loyalty and optimise the existing customer portfolio.
• Sell logistics solutions such as Ocean Freight, Forwarding, hub and Clearance, matching Citadel's capabilities to client needs.
• Recommend appropriate transport offers and propose alternatives when required.
• Follow all standard operating procedures for offers and quotations, obtaining management approval before client submission.

Required profile

• Proven ability to develop new accounts and nurture existing client relationships.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with operations, finance, and management teams.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a drive to build loyalty and optimise portfolios.
• Understanding of logistics services, including ocean freight and forwarding.
