RPG Developer – Core Banking Systems (All Levels)

About the role

We are seeking an RPG Developer to join our banking technology team in Kuala Lumpur. You will build, support and enhance mission‑critical core banking applications on the AS400 platform, participating across the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality programs using RPG IV/Free and CL on AS400/iSeries systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Write and optimise complex DB2 SQL queries for reporting, data transformation and processing.
• Deploy code and automate releases using ALDON as part of DevOps initiatives.
• Provide L2/L3 production support for core banking modules such as deposits, customer information, loans, limits and collaterals.
• Contribute to stability and process‑improvement projects to enhance development and deployment pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with RPG IV/RPG FREE, CL, AS400/iSeries and DB2 SQL.
• Experience ranging from junior to senior levels (1‑10+ years).
• Strong analytical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.
