Rolling Stock Technician

About the role

The Rolling Stock Technician will join the operations and maintenance team responsible for the MRT7 rail project in the Philippines. Working as part of the Quick Response Team (QRT), the technician ensures that the train fleet remains clean, safe, and ready for service through daily inspections and scheduled maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily visual inspections and maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the train fleet.
• Carry out periodic service checks in line with defined maintenance intervals.
• Provide first‑line technical response to rolling‑stock failures or incidents, troubleshooting to minimise service disruption.
• Support general maintenance tasks to keep all train systems in peak condition.
• Coordinate train movements within the depot with the Rolling Stock Engineer.
• Update tool, equipment, and component status in the Maintenance Management System (MMS) for accurate inventory tracking.
• Assist in preparing daily and monthly maintenance accomplishment reports.
• Contribute technical input during the procurement of spare parts and consumables.

Required profile

• Member of the Quick Response Team (QRT) with the ability to act as the first technical responder.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and industrial standards applicable to rail maintenance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using a Maintenance Management System (MMS) for reporting and inventory control.
• Technical troubleshooting of rolling‑stock equipment.
• Knowledge of rail safety procedures and standards.
