Road & Bridge Projects Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to lead road and bridge construction projects. The role involves overseeing daily field operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget compliance across a variety of civil works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and delegate responsibilities to crews, ensuring production of quality work that meets company policies and industry standards.
• Monitor job schedules, budget guidelines, cost control, production, and material usage.
• Partner with project management to oversee scheduling, quality, and resolve potential conflicts.
• Enforce company policies, client expectations, and industry safety standards.
• Manage concrete structures, paving, interchanges, intersections, pipe, signals and other civil aspects.
• Prepare and execute work plans, manpower needs, material quantities, schedules and equipment requirements.
• Report issues, safety concerns, and budgetary challenges to management and assist in problem resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience as a Superintendent on DOT/highway projects.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to lead crews of various sizes and delegate tasks effectively.
• Physical capability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lb) and work in outdoor conditions.
• Pass controlled substance tests and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean motor‑vehicle record.
