Risk Model Officer

About the role

The Risk Model Officer will support the risk management function by designing, maintaining and monitoring credit and other risk models. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure models meet regulatory standards and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update the model risk management framework.
• Develop, implement, test and monitor credit risk models such as application and behavioral scoring.
• Build additional models as required to support business initiatives.
• Maintain model inventory, classification and materiality assessments.
• Test, monitor and validate third‑party risk models outsourced by the organization.
• Ensure model risk management complies with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Assist in maintaining internal risk data and producing ad‑hoc reports.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in model risk, credit review, audit or banking and finance.
• Ability to produce accurate, validated model scores for risk assessment.
• Familiarity with global and local credit risk reporting requirements (e.g., SEC, BSP).
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Banking & Finance or a related business discipline.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Analytics software such as SAS or R‑Studio.
• Market data platforms like Reuters or Bloomberg.
