Retail Store Manager

About the role

Spinneys Philippines is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead one of its premium supermarkets. The role is responsible for overall store performance, ensuring a safe, organized, and customer‑focused environment while meeting sales and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day supermarket operations, including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, merchandising, and product displays.
• Achieve sales and profit objectives by analysing reports, controlling expenses, and driving promotions and cross‑selling.
• Oversee inventory levels, ordering, receiving, storage, replenishment, and conduct regular stock audits to minimise shrinkage.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handle complaints, and implement satisfaction initiatives.
• Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate store staff, fostering a positive work environment.
• Handle cash management, deposits, daily sales reporting, and enforce loss‑prevention controls.
• Maintain health, safety, and regulatory compliance for employees and customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing or related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of supermarket or retail management experience.
• Proven track record in leading teams and managing store operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, merchandising and retail best practices.
